The economics

Oby charges hosts a 5% commission and does not add a service fee to the guest's price. Third-party payment processing charges are currently absorbed by Oby under our intended launch model.

Founding hosts
What hosting on Oby looks like.

5% platform commission
Oby's only fee to hosts. It applies to your nightly rates, extra guest charges, cleaning and pet fees after any discount. Taxes are not commissioned.

No Oby guest service fee
Travelers pay your price, your fees and applicable taxes. Oby adds nothing on top, so your listing isn't priced higher than you set it.

No exclusivity
Our draft host agreement lets you keep listing your properties on other platforms. Final terms are being reviewed before launch.

Tools for professional managers
Bulk import by spreadsheet, team roles for co-hosts and staff, portfolio pricing and a dashboard built on real bookings.

Calendar synchronization
Import and export iCal calendars. Syncs run on a schedule, and if a calendar falls out of date, new bookings wait for your confirmation.
